                                               The Next Generation of Real Estate

With each generation comes a certain group of talented and unique individuals that possess a certain spark to succeed in whatever venture they embark on. After a long list of impressive professional and sport accolades, Brooke Norman and Chris Hernandez are now applying their strengths to the real estate profession.

Newly married, this couple has each been raised in the community and realizes the unique quality of life Lake Tahoe has to offer. A Whittell graduate, Brooke has lived in the area since 1980. With a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies at Sonoma State, Brooke has lent her skills to many worthwhile causes. She has been an active community member locally and worldwide. As a court appointed special advocate for children in the area, Brooke has also lent her support to the “Mission to the Americas” in Honduras and Cambodia, where she worked with native children and assisted in building churches.

More notably known at the lake for her on air personality with the Resort Sports Network, Brooke gained a unique insight into the community by interviewing guests, presenting events, entertainment and local happenings. Having always had a love for the outdoors, it follows that she was a U.S. national combined snowboarding champion.

“I love living at Lake Tahoe and could never see myself anywhere else,” Brooke said. “I enjoy all of the great activities that we have here from skiing to boating. I hope to help others find their own love of the area.”

As a member of the U.S. Ski Team for seven years, Chris has a special connection to the area where he has grown up. Chris joined the U.S. Freestyle team at the age of 17, setting the stage for a long and impressive career in the skiing industry with numerous World Cup top 10 titles; national top three ranking in moguls; National Freestyle Champion for aerials; and two Olympic qualifiers to name a few of his credits. Having traveled all over the world, Chris still skis for Heavenly Mountain Resort and has been featured in many Warren Miller movies including his latest, “Higher Ground.”

“My mom works at Heavenly and taught me how to do my first tricks there,” Chris said. “I have a lot of fond memories of that and know that my place will always be here at Lake Tahoe.”

It’s that dedication and passion to a sport that he has mastered, that Chris hopes to apply to real estate.

“Both Brooke and I have a strong work ethic that drives us to do our best in whatever we do,” Chris said. “We’re enthusiastic and competent people that really do care about the lake and the community in which we live and we hope to reflect that to our peers.”
